My guest for this episode Don Tebbe. Don is a consultant and author based in the Washington, DC, and one of the nation’s leading authorities on nonprofit leadership succession. Serving over a decade as a nonprofit senior executive, chief executive, and interim CEO, he experienced first-hand the challenges of leadership transitions. Founding his consulting practice in 1993, he has since helped over 120 nonprofits find, interview, hire, and transition to new CEOs and other senior leaders.
Don is the author of Chief Executive Transitions: How to Hire and Support a Nonprofit CEO, Second Edition recently published by BoardSource; an earlier edition won the Terry McAdam book award. He’s currently working on a companion book that will provide executives with a succession roadmap.
A frequent speaker, Don delivers keynotes and leads workshops on executive succession and related topics for executives and board members at conferences across the country.
